What do I need to ………?

This was the question put to me by a very active but new Internet Marketer who had just completed all the set up videos of the free system he had just joined. I was thinking that you might have the same question so here is the answer I gave him.

You need people better known as Leads to sign up to your website. But before they are leads they are known as traffic, so how does one get traffic to their web site so they become leads that will become money in the bank.

I use traffic exchanges and safe lists. Most of them are free or cheap. Now some expects think they are a waste of time and others think they are great. As for my opinion some work great and others are just scams.

Safe Lists
If they state that you can email over one million people with one button its Bull. The one button leads to a page with about 100 or 200 plus email blusters that are all the same. You have to enter your details and message over and over and over again, you get the idea.

The best mailers have between 5000 to 80000 real members, some are free with unlimited mail outs but the better ones require you to earn credits to mail out. You earn one credit so you can email to one real person. They work faster than that. Open one email wait 30 seconds and earn 40 or 50 credits until you have build up enough to blast that message out.

When you sign up to these Safe Lists expect to receive about a 1000 emails a day. There are tricks to make handling this volume easier like using filters and folders so you can still find the emails from friends and family.

Now why do I say the credits Safe List are better? Well the person that sent you those email that you opened to earn that credit had to do the same thing. Sure you open a 100 a day to earn your credits and they open 100 a day to earn theirs, now if you have a good landing page it may just catch their eye. They go from being traffic to being a lead and if your offer is good. Money in the bank.

If you send out 80000 about 250 will be opened and 1 may sign up. Some offers work better than others do. Offer dollars in the subject line and the hit rate goes up. Proving that some people do read their email.

Traffic Exchanges
I’ll talk about them some other time.
